Flavour Profile
Gentle malty aromas mingle with fruity sweetness, leading into a rich, rounded cup. The bright red liquor has a substantial body and a smooth texture, balanced by a brisk, refreshing finish.
As the leaves open through successive infusions, the balance of malt and fruit develops. A touch of astringency gives the tea structure, making it a satisfying choice for those who enjoy a fuller-bodied black tea.
Terroir
Our Assam tea garden is located in Yuchi, near Sun Moon Lake in central Taiwan, at approximately 700 metres above sea level. Set within a basin surrounded by mountains, the garden benefits from fertile soils, abundant rainfall and a warm, humid climate.
Frequent mists and relatively short periods of direct sunshine provide favourable growing conditions. The Sun Moon Lake region has a long association with Assam-type tea cultivation, and TTES No. 8 is one of its established black tea cultivars.
Understanding Our Grades
Our grading considers both the selection of fresh tea leaves and the quality of the finished tea.
Competition Grade: Made from hand-picked leaves harvested around midday, when their moisture content is generally lower, providing favourable conditions for tea processing. The finished tea must meet our internal quality standards through tasting and evaluation.
Premium Grade: May be made from leaves harvested at different times of day. Tea made from midday-picked leaves may also be classified as Premium Grade if the finished tea does not meet our Competition Grade standards.
Midday picking alone does not determine the grade; the final selection also depends on our evaluation of the finished tea.

75g × 4: Four 75g packs, totalling 300g.
Brewing Suggestions
Use 3g of tea per 150ml of water at 95–100°C. Steep for 2–3 minutes, then pour out the tea completely. Adjust the tea quantity, water temperature and steeping time to suit your taste. For a gentler cup, try a shorter steep or a slightly lower water temperature. The leaves can be infused multiple times.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture and strong odours. After opening, reseal the package tightly and enjoy promptly for the best aroma and flavour.
